Washington DC

The Charity: Love 146

The Girl: Samantha Casey

Love146 is committed to stopping sex trafficking across the world. This is a smaller non profit that could really use all the help it could get. If you think this is a good cause, and know a way that Samantha could publicize it, through a speaking engagement, or another event please let me (or her) know.

Top Five things to do in Washington DC (This is mostly from memory, I was in a wedding CONGRATS MR. AND MRS. J LUCAS!):

Five: Take a walk around one of the colleges in the city (I recommend Georgetown)

Four: Check out the capital building

Three: Check out the white house

Two: Go to the Mall (monuments and memorials)

One: Find some nightlife in Dupont circle or Adams Morgan

Things I passed on: The city is big, and I passed on a lot. Museums galore, the canal, parks, etc.

Good places to stay: Couch at college roommates house. (From what I hear the Intercontinental Hotel across from the white house. It will only cost your first born child, and 10% of your lifelong earnings- I did not stay here)

Washington DC’s Ratings. On a scale from 1 to Boston: 7.5

Washington DC has the east coast, a real city feel, and plenty of happenings all the time.

Washington DC doesn’t have enough people who aren’t politicians (in their heads), mountains, perfect weather (it isn’t the worst either), and a “local city” feel.

The story: This time around Washington DC, I did not do much. I was at a guys night out of sorts, and then ventured into DC. I saw a friend at a fancy hotel, and then went to sleep. Headed out to Harrisonburg the next day to be in a wedding for two of my favorite people in the world Mr. and Mrs. J Lucas. Despite my not having done a lot in Washington DC this time around, I feel that my commentary, and suggestions are pretty solid based on the amount of time I’ve spent there.

I apologize for the lack of video/pictures. Google Images Search: Washington DC. You'll get better pictures.
