Donating... How to beat the system
Unfortunately my donations are not tax deductible, because I myself am not a 503 (c) (3), but if a friend wants to get started on that paper work (law school people) that'd be grand. Also, PUT THE NAME OF THE CHARITY YOU WISH TO DONATE TO IN THE "purpose" SECTION OF THE DONATION, otherwise I'll just give it to the charity that is being sponsored on the day of the donation.
Anyways- beat the system. Normally when donating through paypal, they take a cut or service fee. However, if you pay with paypal credit through your paypal account, there is no fee.
So, I figure save the .30 cents + 2.9% of your donation, sign up for a free paypal account, put money in that account (free), and then donate it to me... also free. Then I will have it sent to a bank (free) instead of having them send me a check ($1.50) and I will ensure every penny donated goes to the charity you wanted to support.
